Crane Merchandising Systems, A Crane Co. Company, (NYSE:CR)
announced that Tom Edwards has been appointed to the position of Vice President & General Manager, CMS - National Vendors Business Unit. Edwards reports directly to John Barsanti, President Crane Merchandising Systems.
"Tom Edwards brings strong industry knowledge and experience to the National Vendors' business unit," said John Barsanti. "The goal of NV is to make automatic merchandising equipment available to all of our potential customers - whether they be small independent operators, large regional organizations or National Accounts," he continued. "The National Vendors' business unit will be targeting its products and services to meet these needs."
Previous to this new appointment, Edwards was acting Vice President & General Manager - European Operations when he rejoined the company in December, 2000. In a prior role at National Vendors, he held the position of Vice President - Marketing. "By organizing Engineering, Sales, and Marketing under one umbrella, we are able to strengthen the focus and direction of the NV product line," said Barsanti.
Reporting to Edwards will be:
- David Duncan - Vice President, Engineering
- Bret Plumer - Vice President, Sales, North American Operations
- Valerie Stiller - Vice President, Marketing
